From day one, our mission has been to make tax preparation and financial services accessible, reliable, and community-focused.
We’re proud to give back through annual back-to-school drives, sponsoring local teams and athletes, and providing free gift cards to our clients during the challenges of COVID-19. Just as important, we put a strong focus on teaching our clients about their own tax situations, so they leave every United Tax Pros office feeling informed, confident, and empowered. Fernando Mercado didn’t come from money or connections — he built United Tax Pros from the ground up with one goal in mind:
To make professional tax and accounting services accessible, trustworthy, and profitable for both clients and entrepreneurs.
What started as a single location has grown into a multi-state network of offices and licensees helping thousands of clients across the U.S. every year.

Before founding United Tax Pros, Fernando was like many of the clients the company now serves — hardworking, ambitious, and just looking for the right opportunity.
He got his start doing marketing and learning the tax business from the ground up. Over time, he became a top preparer, then a business owner, and finally the leader of one of the fastest-growing tax service brands in the country.
